Charles Sanft
This is the website of Charles Sanft (Ph.D., Habil.), student of early
Chinese history and prose literature. My main research focus is Qin
and Western Han China.
Beginning August 2013 I will be Assistant Professor of Premodern Chinese
History in the Department of History at the University of Tennessee,
Knoxville. Formerly, I was a member of the School of Historical Studies at
the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton), and at the Institute for Sinology
and East Asian Studies (University of Muenster). I also did a post-doc at
Kyoto University, among other things.
